Despite the reputation Black Friday has for being the main November day to capitalize on major sales, Veterans Day is also a day when shoppers can cash in and stock up on some necessary items with a super low price tag! According to reports, nearly every store will be offering discounts during the Veterans Day weekend and of course on the actual holiday on Tuesday. Even though Black Friday normally indicates the start to the holiday shopping season, Veterans Day has great deals on holiday decorations, gifts and even clothing, so you can be looking your best by the time Thanksgiving comes our way! The best deals for shoppers will be had at major retailers, including Macy’s, Target, JC Penney, Old Navy, Sears and Kohl’s!

Macy’s has already begun their annual Veterans Day sale which will continue until November 11, both in stores and online. Shoppers will get 30-75% off regular and value priced items, plus an extra 10-20% when using a Macy’s card or shoppers pass. There are several featured items in the Macy’s sales including women’s coat which are 40-50% off, tall women’s boots which are discounted at 40%, jewelry is also getting a big breakdown with a 30-50% sale. In addition to apparel, Macy’s is offering discounts on mattresses, desk, couches, and luggage. As for online deal, when using the code “VETS” shoppers will get an 20% off! Like Macy’s Target will be offering big sales now through Saturday on nearly every item. In addition to the sales, Target is offering it’s “Price Match Policy” now through the holidays, if shoppers find an item for less at a competing store, they can bring in the circular and Target will return the difference. At Target.com, shoppers can get 30% off during their Home for the Holidays Sales Preview on home decor, furniture, bedding, rugs, bath and kitchen items.

JC Penney will be offering Veteran Day sales now through Saturday, November 8th, the retailer is extending there regular store hours, staying open until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. JC Penney will also be offering pending incentives, with $10 bonus cash when you spend $50 or more. There is also a coupon giveaway, which is first come first serve. Old Navy is getting an early jump on Holiday sales with Veterans Day special; shoppers can save up to 50% off everything in the store now through Wednesday, November 12th.

Sears is celebrating a weeklong Veterans Day sale from now until November 15th, with Hot-Buy items running until November 8. Hot-Buy specials include appliances, which are discounted at 40%. Shoppers can save up to 50% off fall fashions, plus an extra 15% with the code VETS2014, this code is good until November 11th. Sears is also serving up savings on bedding, electronics, Craftsman tools, fitness equipment, jewelry, and linens!

Last but certainly not least, Kohl’s will be offering sales on everything in store form now until November 11th. The retailer is also offering $10 off purchases of $25 and up, in-stores and online with promo code VETSDAY10 when shopping online. Additionally Kohl’s is having a special 2-day only Veterans Day Weekend sale on select boots and apparel from now until November 8. With added, Night Owl & Early Bird specials beginning on Friday at 3 P.M. until 11 P.M. and Saturday at 8 A.M. until 11 P.M.
