We all miss the late Jenni Rivera, the self-proclaimed "Diva de la Banda!" Guess what? The "Basta Ya" singer might have someone to impersonate her within her family, and no, it's not her daughter Chiquis Rivera. Yes, the latter made an ah-mah-zing impersonation on Premios Juventud, but we love her so much that she should do her own thing. Now, Gustavo Rivera... he might be the key to continue Jenni's legacy alive. Rivera is one of the contestants on Azteca's reality show "Soy Tu Doble" where celebrities characterized themselves as other more famous celebrities and impersonate them. This week, Gustavo and Lupita Sandoval were given the task to take on the Jenni Rivera role.
It seems like the producers favored Gustavo on this challenge as Jenni's older brother basically recreated his sister's moment. Dressed in an ensemble Jenni wore during a performance at the Teatro de la Ciudad de México, Gustavo took the role to perfection. The iconic blue, butterfly dress is one that Jenni had worn on various occasions and it was like seeing her back on stage. Gustavo's performance left the judges speechless and with tears coming out of their eyes. Lupita Sandoval performed "Inolvidable" but the win was obviously for Gustavo as it was more sentimental.
