Wisin's wife Yomaira Ortiz was a special guest on the Puerto Rican radio station Nueva Vida 97.7 FM. She took the mic to open up about the family's tragic loss back in 2016 of their newborn daughter, Victoria and explained how the family united after going through such an experience.

Victoria died due to the uncommon disease Trisomy 13. The disease, also known as "Patau Syndrome," is a rare chromosome disorder that results in abnormalities such as development delays, intellectual abilities and specific facial characteristics.

During the interview, she mentioned how the experience taught her "the value of the people you have at your side." Yomaira also related that her daughter Yelena (9), who according to her, prayed for four years to have the blessing of another sibling, questioned her why God had taken her sister, so Ortiz's answer was: "God did not tell us how long we would be with Victoria."

She also said that when in January 2016 she found out she was pregnant again, her older daughter took the news as a "petition answered by God." Ortiz revealed that around the fourth or fifth month of gestation, the baby was diagnosed by genetic testing with the disease and unfortunately died in the hospital a month after she was born.

Yomaira, who is devoted to God and the Church, tells how in every single moment she felt the presence of the Lord. “I felt the comfort of God,” confirmed the mother of two to the radio host.
