After 15 years in the music industry, urban artist Wisin is venturing to film. The Puerto Rican star is embarking a new stage in his career with a film called "Soldado de Dios" ("God's Soldier"), a movie which he wrote the script for.

The 36-year-old did not reveal much detail of the upcoming flick, but he did give a gist of what to expect.

"The movie will not be about shootings or cars," he said to Notimex. In fact, the "Nota de Amor" singer assured the film will be slated for everyone --young or old. "It's important to address social issues because not only do we have older fans, but also young and I have two children," he said. "That's why you have to think of how you can contribute to society and that people understand that the artists in the urban world have a noble side."

As for expectations of the film once it premieres, Wisin hopes it impacts people around the world.

"It's a tedious process that will take us a lot of time, but we're counting with the help of many friends," he said of "Soldado de Dios," stating that rapper 50 Cent already knows about the project and offered to be a part of it. "I'm sure that once I call my great friends, they'll want to form part of this project."
