Last night, during the MTV Movie Awards Ellen Page came on stage to reveal a sneak peek clip of the highly anticipated “X-Men: Days of Future Past” film. The clip released shows off the opening battle sequence including: Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Bishop and more taking on the sentinels. Check out the incredible action scene below.
This latest X-Men film iteration finds the mutants fighting a war for survival against a new robotic enemy, sentinels. The beloved characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past and save the future.
Returning to "X-Men: Days of Future Past" include: Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy as the older and younger Professor Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen as Magneto. The film will also see Halle Berry return to her role as Storm and Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique.
“X-Men: Days of Future Past” is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 23, 2014.
