The beautiful, talented and inspirational Adamari López spoke exclusively with Latin Times to tell us about her daughter, the new projects for 2017 and her busy Holiday schedule as she enjoys the interesting Spanish- PuertoRican- American fusion every year.

The “Un Nuevo Día” host is super happy on this new stage of her life and she actually shines when she talks about it. Away from any negative vibe or controversy, López awaits for the next year with open arms and we feel really happy to share her emotions and confessions through this interview.

Latin Times: How’s your life as a mom? Can you tell us about Alaïa?

Adamari López: I am fascinated, Alaïa is already a year and nine months and I can say this has been the best stage of my life. I am happy with her rediscovering things. I am impressed because every day she does something new. I see life through her eyes and it gives me so much joy to have this beautiful doll.

LT: How can you describe her personality?

AL: When my friends used to ask me I used to say "I want her as she comes." In terms of personality, I honestly didn’t know what to expect, it's a combination between Tony and myself. She is divine and friendly but at the same time strong and with character. We are surprised to see how she grows and progresses in terms of speech, walk or the way she develops being social with other children. It fills me with great enthusiasm. I think every kid follows what they see, so I will continue educating myself so I can educate her at the same time.

[As Adamari was describing her little girl, we felt how much joy she feels talking about her and how important this baby has been in her life. Alaïa was happily announced by the actress on September 20, 2014 and the baby was born March 4, 2015.]

LT: We know she has been a total inspiration especially to create a new app for phones. How's that business going?

AL: Yes, this week we launched a project that we’ve been working for a year. Since Alaia was born, we realized how difficult it was to take "selfies" with her. We called the app Akuarella, and its function is to make it easy for parents to take pictures with their babies. It contains a video with interesting images and sounds helping you to call the kids' attention and obtaining great photos. The app also lets you download any video of your preference. Within the same platform, you can find a link to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital for those who want to make a direct donation to the Hospital.

This Hospital does not receive any subsidy so everything is for donations, and I invite anyone who is interested, because their contribution is always needed.

LT: What is in your opinion the attitude Latinos should hold ahead of Donald Trump's inauguration in January?

AL: I believe that we must have a lot of Faith and trust that everything will be fine. The United States is a great nation and one person cannot make decisions. I think we should give this new administration the opportunity to show us what they can do and where they can take us. Let’s give them a vote of confidence. Pray much so that all decisions are wise and benefit all those who live here in the USA.

[Since we've seen different posts from artists all over the media about Trump upcoming inauguration, we wanted to know Adamari’s opinion on the matter. She answered with a very positive message as we expected.]

LT: How and where will you spend Christmas and what do you enjoy the most of this time?

AL: Well, I'm happy to share #HowWeFamily, a hashtag we've created primarily to post pictures about how we celebrate the holidays. Tony is Spanish, I'm Puerto Rican and we live in America. We celebrate our cultures and integrate them beautifully.

For early December, we have plans to go to Spain and celebrate with my husband's family and then we’ll fly to Puerto Rico to spend time with my relatives too. This way we show Alaïa all the contrasts, the different climates, the gastronomy and how everything changes. I would like all readers to share their traditions with us using #HowWeFamily for these Holidays.

LT: Tell us about the TV Show “Un Nuevo Día” and the projects for 2017.

AL: Well, I've been in this morning show for 4 years now and I am super happy with it, especially because I share the space with excellent fellow hosts of whom I have learned a lot. I am also having a small participation in the Angélica Vale's new soap opera "La Fan" that will come out next year, and then of course the plan is to stay focused on the girl that is my priority and takes most of my day.

[After 10 years of absence in Telenovelas, Angélica Vale returns with “La Fan,” the new Telemundo production staring herself, Juan Pablo Espinosa and Scarlet Ortiz. Adamari will also have a small part on the soap opera.]

LT: What’s your wish for this coming year?

AL: Every year, especially in those in which I was ill, I ask for health. It is what allows us to carry out work and move forward in life. And another wish would be to be able to give a little brother to Alaïa.
