Aylín Mujica Rushed To The Hospital

Aylín Mujica was rushed to the hospital after experiencing abdominal pains on Monday, February 3. The Latin beauty called her physician who suggested to go to the hospital as it seemed it was more severe than a simple discomfort. Mujica was rushed to Mercy Hospital in Miami where doctors suggested she had to undergo an emergency surgery as she had developed appendicitis. The procedure took about 45 minutes and the Telemundo star is now resting and taking care of her health.

"They sent me an angel last night because I wouldn't have gone to the hospital with this pain," Aylín said in a statement to HuffPost Voces. "Dr. Juan Remos saved my life. I am very grateful with him and with everyone that God put in my path last night in order for me to be well and out of danger." Rolando Fernández, Aylin's manager, also told the Internet site that Mujica is doing well and recovering from the surgery and hopes to be out of the hospital by Wednesday, February 5.

Aylin will be seen next as the host of "Top Chef Estrellas," which premieres on Telemundo Sunday, February 16 at 8pm. The reality show is a Spanish version of the hit Bravo show that has run for 11 seasons. The first season on the Spanish net will feature telenovela stars like Christian Chávez, David Chocarro, Christian de la Campa, Erika de la Rosa and Lorena Herrera. "Top Chef" will also bring in Univision personalities making a cross over like Dr. Nancy Alvarez and Fernando Arau as well as Miss Puerto Rico, Cynthia Olavarria.
