Last night's "Bachelor" finale was a shocker.
Sean Lowe chose his bride-to-be and proposed to Catherine Giudici.
"I want to spend the rest of my life telling you that I love you," Lowe told Giudici as he proposed with a Neil Lane engagement ring. But viewers are left questioning if Lowe made the right choice. Let's weigh the pros and cons and see if his proposal to Catherine was in fact his best bet.
Catherine Giudici is 26 years old and before being on "The Bachelor," Giudici was a full-time graphic artist and a part-time writer. She works as a visual designer for Amazon and writes about vegan food on the blog, Seattleite.com. She is also a woman with a passion for what she believes in. For example, after a trip to Kenya, Giudici returned to the United States with a new attitude for food and became a vegan. She is very comfortable in her own skin and not afraid to be herself with Sean. She is also proud of her heritage. Giudici is Filipino, Swiss and Italian, but is a native to Seattle, Wash. She recently posted a message on her Twitter account boasting about her mother's Filipino heritage.
Also, surprise, Sean and Catherine are still together!
The finale was taped back in November, but the two are still together. They even announced on "The Bachelor Reunion Show" that they plan on getting married on ABC. Although, the big con with Catherine is that her family didn't exactly approve of Sean. A family not accepting your future spouse could make for difficult times ahead.
Now let's compare Sean's bride-to-be with the woman he didn't choose. Lindsay Yenter is a 25-year-old substitute teacher, from Fort Leonard, Mo. Lindsay seemed bold from the beginning when she wore a wedding dress to meet Sean for the first time. It also seems as though Lindsay and Sean shared some major physical chemistry. They shared some pretty steamy make-outs. Sean fit in seamlessly with her family. Lindsay's dad, Mark Yenter, is a Major General in the U.S. Army, and Lindsay's mom, Lisa, has a Master's in Social Work, and is well known for her community-building work at both Fort Bragg and Fort Leonard Wood. Lindsay also had deep conversation with Sean saying how she wanted to settle down and start a family and how she would even move to Dallas with him.
But was it all too much? While the wedding dress was bold, it was also crazy! It seems as if Lindsay is too ready to leave her whole life behind and start a new one with Sean. And what do they really have in common? Not much.
Do you think Sean made the right choice?
