There's probably not one single latina girl who didn't watch the Mexican telenovela "Rebelde" (Oh, come on! You know you watched at least one episode!), or that got excited when the lead characters' band became a real life one and bought all of RBD's records and saw them in concert. It was almost a cult!
Then the band split up and some of its members went back to the studio to record their own solo albums, and others kept acting in telenovelas. And how could we forget the camaraderie between them and support in their personal projects. It was like RBD was still together, but we got 6 times more material.
Of course, there's always some drama, like Anahí's anorexia, or Christian Chávez's secret marriage, that forced the artist to "come out of the closet" because some pictures of his wedding with another men leaked on the internet. And unfortunately for Christian, this time the drama surrounds him again.
It was a long night for the singer, who was taken into custody with his current boyfriend identified as Ben. Both men had visible injuries and were booked on suspicion of felony domestic violence. The District Attorney will decide weather to prosecute or not.
After the altercations, Christian thanked all the support messages from his fans on Twitter and let everyone know he was already home.
Chávez and Ben have been dating for a little over a year and they're not speaking at the moment. Sources say reconciliation is highly improbable.
