The good news is that a new trailer for “Demon Slayer” season 3 is out. However, the more important part of when the official release date for it remains unknown for now.

Officially called the “Swordsmith Village Arc,” the new trailer shows off the new villains to expect in the next installment. But other than that, the hype will be the closest most will see, meaning any word of a potential release date will rely on speculations.

The best to expect is that the third season of “Demon Slayer” will be out somewhere between early to mid-2023. A coming in the fall of this year would have been nice although it was wishful thinking due to several factors, COVID-19 of which is at the top of the list.

“Demon Slayer” debuted in the fall of 2019 with the Mugen Train moving to roll out in Japan in the fall of 2020. Ufotable has been consistent with his work output so this further stirs the pot – meaning a coming in the fall could be nixed at some point.

For those who have seen the trailer, some footage shows production is moving on smoothly. But this is by no means an indication of when “Demon Slayer” season 3 will commence.

Beyond that, there is the matter of wondering what the Swordsmith Village Arc will cover. A wild guess would likely see it cover chapters 100-127 of the manga.

That is unless of course there are some deviations made. That includes Tanjiro possibly heading to Swordsmith Village to get a new weapon. This is a potential scenario considering the village is home to an ancient weapon.
