Actress Amber Heard is reportedly having a hard time trying to settle the damages she owes to ex-partner Johnny Depp due to her financial situation. But it appears the actress could get a break if the millions of dollars owed to the 59-year-old actor would be waived.

The attorneys of Depp allegedly hinted that the millions owed by Heard could be waived after learning that the 36-year-old actress is having financial difficulty settling the money she needs to pay.

Depp won a defamation suit filed against Heard, with the Aquaman actress after a jury awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

This would, later on, be adjusted by a judge to $350,000, as Virginia law limits punitive damages.

Heard countersued Depp for $100 million but was awarded only $2 million by the jury. This was after Depp’s former attorney, Adam Waldman, made defamatory remarks against the actress.

Camille Vasquez and Ben Chew, Depp’s attorneys, sat down for an interview recently at Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos. The host asked them about Heard's lawyer, Elaine Bredehoft, sharing plans to appeal the verdict.

"[Heard] doesn't have the money to pay for the judgment. And you all have said that the goal is not to impoverish Ms. Heard," Stephanopoulos said. "Is it possible we could see a settlement where she foregoes the appeal in return for Mr. Depp waiving any monetary damages?"

In response, Chew said the following;

"We obviously can't disclose attorney-client communications," Chew responded. "But, as Mr. Depp testified and as we both made clear in our respective closings, this was never about money for Mr. Depp. This was about restoring his reputation and he's done that."
