Not only it appears that Felicity Huffman is fair game to award shows’ jokes and digs now, but she also might never find a job in Hollywood. All these because she got involved in a massive college admissions scandal and will be imprisoned for it.

Huffman cannot catch a break. She has been sentenced to 14 days in jail after admitting she’s a guilty party in the college admissions scandal lately. She has also been the joke of the night at the recently concluded Emmy Awards 2019. But a new report is claiming that the actress’ bad luck due to her involvement in this crime might never stop.

According to Radar Online, friends and industry experts claimed that Huffman is set to become a Hollywood pariah. She’s not going to get jobs for a while, if not ever, nor any sympathy. This is not because people in TInsel town thinks her crime is so big that she no longer deserves any form of opportunity. People are afraid of what associating with her will do to their personal reputations. A studio is risking backlash just by giving her projects.

“Felicity is poison in this town,” an insider said. “Nobody wants to appear sympathetic to her — and no studio wants to suffer the backlash of hiring an actress the public believes is a pampered celebrity.”

The former "Desperate Housewives" actress is going to prison soon and paying for her crimes as the court sees fit, why the hate? According to the report, the jail time she has been sentenced with is rubbing people the wrong way. Many who at first were even sympathetic that her involvement in the crime was the result of a wrong judgment made by a desperate mom now just thinks she’s being let off too easily because she is a celebrity earning big.

“There’s been a lot of anger about her getting away with something that anybody else would have done serious time for,” an insider explained to Radar Online. “Everybody thinks it’s a classic case of celebrity justice.”

“Felicity won’t be getting many offers this year or next,” said another analyst, who is a former Hollywood casting director. “At least not until the controversy dies down.”

Whether Huffman’s stellar performance as an A-list actress can beat the odds and land her a job sooner than these analysts think remain to be seen.

The remarks made by the analysts cannot be that far from the mark given a second parent involved in the college scandal received a harsher sentence than Huffman. Business executive Devine Sloane gets four months in prison. According to the court, Huffman has a shorter sentence because she admitted her guilt faster and paid the smallest amount of bribes among the parents. Still, not many will see it that way.
