Super Bowl 50 is almost here, and while the most dedicated of fans wait on baited breath for the game to begin, the rest of us are just thinking about the snacks. Most Super Bowl celebrations revolve around, eating, drinking and yelling at the TV, these three “activities” come in large supply, meaning that you better have a lot of all three to ensure a splendid Sunday afternoon. Lots of yelling, lots of booze and lots of snacks are all necessary. Luckily for you, tons of food, doesn’t always require tons of time in the kitchen, especially when you are remembering your rule of threes, and cooking amazing recipes that only require three ingredients! That’s right, forget those long grocery lists and endless measurements, because this year your entire SB menu can easily and deliciously be made up three-ingredient recipes! We have collected 5 recipes that are not only football fan approved, but fast and easy to make, check them out and snack on!

Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. of cream cheese, softened
  • 12 jalapeno chiles, halved and seeded
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • Additional: 4 Tbsp. fresh chives, chopped

Directions

Heat oven to 375°F. Line cookie sheet with foil or cooking parchment paper. Soak toothpicks in small bowl of warm water to prevent burning. In small bowl, mix cream cheese and chives. Spoon mixture evenly into chile halves. Cut each bacon slice crosswise into thirds. Wrap 1 piece of bacon around each stuffed chile half; secure with soaked toothpick. Place on cookie sheet. Bake 25 minutes or until bacon is crispy and chiles are tender. Serve warm.

Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 (2 lbs.) pork tenderloin (pork shoulder or butt can also be used)
  • 1 (12 oz.) can of root beer
  • 1 (18 oz.) bottle of barbecue sauce
  • Additional: Hamburger Buns

Directions

Place the pork tenderloin in a slow cooker and pour the can of root beer over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until pork shreds easily with a fork. After pork has cooked, drain and discard the root beer. Shred the pork and place it back in the slow cooker. Pour the barbecue sauce over the pork and stir to combine. Serve immediately or keep warm in slow cooker until ready to serve. Serve on hamburger buns.

Mozzarella Sticks

Ingredients

  • Egg roll wrappers
  • Mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • One egg
  • Additional: Vegetable oil for frying & Marinara sauce for dipping

Directions

Place a mozzarella stick in the corner of one egg roll wrapper. Begin rolling from the bottom. Fold the corners of the egg roll wrapper in and continue rolling the wrapper (if desired, you can sprinkle a little Italian seasoning on the cheese at this point). Roll completely. Create an egg wash with one beaten egg and a couple tablespoons water. Brush each mozzarella stick. Fry in vegetable oil until golden brown and serve with marinara sauce.

Pretzel Coated Honey Mustard Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs. Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast Tenderloins
  • 1 1/3 cups Honey Mustard Pretzels
  • 1/2 cup Lite Honey Mustard Dressing
  • Additional: Sea Salt, Coarse Black Pepper and PAM Cooking Spray to grease pan

Directions

On cutting board lay out chicken tenders and lightly season with salt and pepper. Transfer to large bowl, then pour over with honey mustard dressing. Cover and allow to marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour. When ready to cook, fit wire rack to a baking sheet and grease with cooking spray. Next, pulse pretzels in food processor until they resemble breadcrumbs, scraping the sides with a spatula as needed. Spread out pretzel crumbs onto large plate, then set aside. One chicken tender at a time, shake off excess dressing, then coat in pretzel crumbs before placing on greased wire rack. Baked at 350F for 20 minutes, then broil for 2-3 minutes more until crispy. Immediately plate and serve, pairing with extra honey mustard dressing if desired.

3-Ingredient Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of cooked and drained ground beef
  • 1 can of chili beans (undrained)
  • 1 can of chili ready diced tomatoes

Directions

Mix the meat, beans and tomatoes together in large pot, bring it to a boil and then simmer for about 30 minutes. You could also combine in a crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Enjoy topped with cheese and sour cream.
