The FX series "Fargo" may be skipping this year for a 2017 premiere date, but we are still getting loads of information on the black comedy-crime drama anthology show.

Recent reports stated that "Star Wars" actor Ewan McGregor will join the third season and star in not one, but two leading roles. The full details regarding his character have yet to be revealed but we can eliminate the possibility of him playing twin brothers. Instead, he will play regular brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy. Thanks to ScreenCrush, we have a description for the Stussy brothers, which reads:

"Emmit Stussy is the Parking Lot King of Minnesota. A handsome, self-made, real estate mogul and family man, Emmit sees himself as an American success story. His slightly younger brother, Ray Stussy, on the other hand is more of a cautionary tale. Balding, pot-bellied, Ray is the kind of guy who peaked in high school. Now a parole officer, Ray has a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he’s been dealt, and he blames his brother, Emmit, for his misfortunes."

ScreenCrush added that production for Season 3 of "Fargo" will likely happen November 2016 and that the show, which is set in 2010, will enter the "selfie-oriented culture." The site also stated that the series will feature at least one returning character from either the 2006 or 1979 seasons.

The series creator Noah Hawley spoke more about the series connections in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Hawley said:

"There are going to be connections, the way the first year was connected to the movie and the second year was connected to the first"

Hawley also told EW that there are some issues with bringing back characters from past series or movies.

"The danger of bringing [past characters] back is the artifice is too clear," Hawley said. He went on to say that it simply wouldn’t be believable for these characters to go through so many of these crazy scenarios.

Season 3 of "Fargo" will premiere in the spring of 2017.
