Today, the official Facebook page announced that the filming of "Fast and Furious 7" is finally complete! "Fast and Furious 7" has endured a challenging couple of months of production, but the official Facebook page announced earlier this month that the release date is officially moved a week ahead to arrive April 3, 2015. Ever since the movie franchise had lost its star actor Paul Walker in a devastating car accident last year, the fate of "Fast and Furious 7" was hanging by a thread. Due to the loss of a great friend and the heart of the cast, it is truly inspirational that "Fast And Furious" had come so far.

The new April 3 release date and production completion announcement came just weeks before rumors suggested "Fast and Furious 7" is facing even more delays because a mourning Vin Diesel was struggling to work ever since Paul Walker died. Now, it is obvious that the rumors are false. What else do you expect from the fastest and most furious cast and crew in the biz?

"Fast and Furious 7," directed by James Wan, stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson. Lucas Black from Tokyo Drift, and the late Paul Walker. New cast members include antagonist Jason Statham, Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, and Kurt Russell. Paul Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody also partcipated to complete their brother's Brian O’Connor story arc.

According to rumors, plans for "Fast and Furious 8" are already underway. Entertainment Weekly reported that Cody Walker may actually become a new fixture to the "Fast and Furious" franchise. If this rumor is true, then Cody Walker will play a whole new character for "Fast and Furious 8," rather than act as Paul Walker's double.

"If Walker's brother does a great job and is well received by audiences in this newly conceived role, then who better to carry on the Walker tradition than his brother," asked senior media analyst and veteran box office expert Paul Dergarabedian. "When it's a family member who fills in, it seems to soften any criticism that could develop. Look at Jason Bonham (son of the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham), when he has filled in for his respected and beloved father, everyone was cool with it because they kept it in the family. Universal is keeping it in the family and it's tough to argue with the strategy... I think that it's a meritocracy and that's appropriate."

Whether or not the "Fast and Furious 8" rumors are true remains to be seen. In the meantime, be sure to read the heartfelt note to the fans that the "Fast And Furious" family provided to announce the end of "Fast and Furious 7" filming:

We made it.

Today we completed the last shot in the production of FAST & FURIOUS 7.

We wanted to take this moment to express how thankful we are for your support. We felt the love and strength from our fans throughout this journey, and it’s because of you that we got here.

There was a time when we didn’t know how we could go on, or even if we should. But we listened to you, and you inspired us not only to keep going but to try and make the best FAST & FURIOUS movie yet.

Our FAST family has been together for almost fifteen years now and has grown a lot in that time. From the start, Vin has been our leader who feels what’s right for FAST in his gut and in his heart. When we had to stop production last year, Vin gathered us back together and moved us forward when we needed it most. He led us to this day.

Some of us have been here from the very beginning. Vin, Michelle, Jordana and our producer Neal all go back to that first little movie we shot on the streets of LA. We came back to LA in FAST 7, and it was an especially emotional homecoming for those who’ve grown up with each other since that first shoot.

There are those we count as brothers who we gathered along the way and are with us again: Dwayne, Tyrese, Luda, Lucas and our writer, Chris. We’ve got some new additions this time in Jason, Kurt, Djimon, Nathalie and our director, James. Caleb and Cody joined us to honor their brother and help complete his work.

Our family is big and strong but it won’t ever quite be whole again without Paul.

All of us — those who’ve been here from the start and those whose first FAST film is 7 — wanted to create a special film for him and for you. We believe we have.

Thank you for being there for us. You are the biggest part of our family, and we couldn’t have gotten here without you.

The countdown to April 3 begins.

With love,

Your FAST & FURIOUS Family
