Putting in a €50 million ($62 million) investment, Fiat taps on Ferrari to create a bi-turbo V6 engine that is capable of producing 450-hp as well as a naturally-aspirated V8, closer to Ferrari's DNA, designed for more than 500-hp.

A yet-to-be-identified Alfa Romeo flagship could use the new Ferrari engines as well, since the return of the Alfa 159 has been delayed due to a lack of engine options, WhatCar? reports.
