If you have been watching "Game of Thrones" season 3 then you have noticed all the new characters. But while all the characters are vital to the series, here are your top 5 most important characters.

Jojen & Meera Reed

Jojen and Meera Reed are the son and daughter of Howland Reed. They have sworn their loyalty to House Stark and arrive to escort Bran, Rickon, Osha, and Hodor north to beyond the Wall. Meera is the hunter and protector of her younger brother Jojen. Jojen has 'greensight' like Brandon Stark. Greensight is the ability to have prophetic dreams called "Green Dream". A person with greensight sometimes dreams as other people or animals.

Thoros of Myr

Thoros of Myr is also known as the Red Priest. He is originally from the Free City of Myr but now lives in Westeros and was apart of teh court at King's Landing. He has now pleged his allegiance to the "Brotherhood Without Banners" and is one of ther leaders. He worships R'hllor, the lord of light, like Melisandre in Dragonstone.

Beric Dondarrion

Beric Dondarrion was the Lord of Blackhaven, and he is known as the Lighting Lord. He became the leader of the "Brotherhood Without Banners" after he was sent out to the Riverlands by Eddard Stark to bring the king's justice to Ser Gregor Clegane, The Mountain.

Missiandei

Missiandei is currently a slave in the Free City of Astapor, however her relationship with Daenerys grows and changes. She becomes a servant to Daenerys and serves as council for her.

Mance Ryder

Mance Ryder was wildling child taken by the Night's Watch and raised as one of them. He then became a respected and noted ranger of the Night's Watch, but now he serves as King Beyond The Wall. He has united all of the wildlings tribes to march south beyond the Wall fleeing from the Others.
