ABC News' "Good Morning America" continues its reign on top as it beat NBC's "Today" for the week of Nov. 12.

The win marked "GMA's" largest win in more than 20 years.

According to Nielsen Media Research, GMA is on track to win total viewers and adults 25-54 for the November sweeps.

"GMA" has stood as the morning's No. 1 newscast in Total Viewers for the 8th time in eight weeks this season and in seven of eight weeks in the key adult news demo.

"In ranking No. 1 for the month in Adults 25-54, "GMA" is taking the top spot during any sweeps in the key adult news demo for the first time in more than 18 years - since July 1994," ABC News said in a release. "In addition, "GMA" is leading the November sweep in Total Viewers for the first time in 17 years - since November 1995."

According to a release, "GMA" outdelivered NBC's "Today" (4.810 million and 1.969 million, respectively) during the week by +519,000 Total Viewers and by +37,000 Adults 25-54. On Thursday (11/15/12), "GMA" aired the No. 1 morning telecast of the week in both Total Viewers (5.538 million) and Adults 25-54 (2.173 million).

"Today" has been slipping in the ratings since co-host Ann Curry was fired in June.

The Daily Beast's Howard Kurtz said NBC's morning show "seems a bit tired."

"GMA, even with Robin Roberts recuperating from surgery, has gotten a jolt of energy from Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer, and from its emphasis on lighter and tabloid-style fare (not exactly neglected by Today, either)," Kurtz said.

A report that co-host Matt Lauer may be on his way out the door surfaced recently.

"It's just desserts. Matt is finally getting what he deserves!" a Studio 1-A set insider told The ENQUIRER. "His years-long feuds with former co-hosts Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira and Ann Curry have taken their toll. Everyone has turned against him, and Matt is going to be ousted because he's being blamed for the show's collapse."

Curry was rehired by NBC as a News National and International Correspondent/Anchor and "Today" Anchor at Large. Curry reports for all platforms of NBC News including "Today," "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams," "Rock Center with Brian Williams," "Dateline," MSNBC, and all digital properties. Curry also serves as anchor for multiple NBC News primetime specials, regularly substitute anchors for "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" and reports for "Rock Center with Brian Williams."
