Earlier this week, "GTA 5" leaker and YouTuber OpenWorldGames revealed a bizarre string from a leaked source code that read main_ZMB. Information on the leak was scarce at the time but fans quickly jumped to conclusions and speculated that the ZMB abbreviations stood for "zombie." As it turns out, that's exactly what it is.
Most "GTA 5" leaks are coming out of YouTube lately, so it's no surprise that the latest "GTA 5" Zombie DLC leak is from YouTube as well. This time, it's YouTuber iCrazyTeddy that leaked the latest SPZOMBIES source code that effectively confirms that Rockstar is definitely working on something that has to do with the undead.
According to the leakers, the source code only confirms that the Zombie DLC will be playable in GTA singleplayer. However, given the popularity of zombie games as of late, we are 99.99 percent certain that the "GTA 5" Zombie DLC will eventually deliver an awesome GTA Online multiplayer mode as well. It's just the right thing to do, if we're honest.
The latest "GTA 5" Zombie DLC rumors are most closely mentioned to the epic "Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare" DLC pack. "Undead Nightmare" essentially added the zombie equation to the wide-open wild west enviroment of "Red Dead Redemption." For example, randome encounters with bandits or lynch mobs have been replaced with random zombie encounters. Bounty missions are replaced with missing person missions. Gang hideouts are replaced with graveyards across the map, where the gamer must clear hordes of zombies.
Popular "Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare" multiplayer features include "Undead Overrun," where four friends must work together and survive wave after wave of zombies. No doubt, this game mode will be wildly successful if Rockstar brings it to Los Santos.
Stay tuned as we learn more about the new "GTA 5" Zombie DLC in the days ahead. In the meantime, be sure to check out the Zombie DLC source code and the awesome leak video below:
