Camilla Parker Bowles reportedly surprised one of her biggest fans during her tour in Germany with Prince Charles. The couple was in the country for four days for a series of royal engagements.

The Duchess of Cornwall’s fan, Tanja, revealed how she received an invitation from the British Embassy to meet Camilla. She said that she was over the moon when she received a special invite.

After signing a guest book in Leipzig, eastern Germany, Prince Charles and Camilla had the opportunity to meet Tanja up close. The royal fan said that everyone was so nice and kind toward her, and it was incredible.

“Moments later, Charles and Camilla walked past us and Camilla and I were sharing a smile,” she said. “As soon as the books were signed, Camilla went over to me! You can probably imagine how happy and excited I was. Camilla was wonderful and she even introduced me to Charles, who knew about my blog as well. He actually told me that I was very kind and had done a lot of good things,” she added.

Tanja also shared that Camilla gave her a small present, which was in her favorite color. Following the gesture, the royal fan said that Camilla was incredibly kind, nice and beautiful.

“I’m so thankful she took the trouble and time to see me and to talk to me. She really is the best person in the world and I shall remember today all the days of my life,” she said.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were in Germany for an action-packed visit. They went to the Hermannsdorfer Organic Farm just outside of Munich, and they also got to enjoy a glass of German beer, sausages and pretzels at a market. The royal couple also attended a state banquet in the Emperor’s room at the Munich Residence. Following their four-day visit, Prince Charles and Camilla flew back to London.
