A 60-year-old woman tried to fight off a rapist by reportedly biting his penis after the attacker got into her home in Salford, Greater Manchester and forced her to conduct a sexual act on March 19, 2021.

The elderly woman has been commended for her bravery and strength as she clenched her teeth onto the private part of Brian Brough. She suffered from multiple face bone fractures after she was repeatedly raped and beaten up late at night last year. She, fortunately, managed to escape to a neighbor's house and was immediately rushed to hospital.

Brough, 36, gained access into the victim's home after he knocked on her front door, claiming to be the elder's neighbor's friend. Prosecuting, Mark Kellet, described the ordeal and said, "Although she had never met the defendant before, as her neighbour's name matched what he said, she opened the door and he came into the house asking to use the toilet. She went into the front room but was followed by the defendant and as she sat on the sofa he sat next to her and put his arm around her. He told her that he was a male escort and took his penis out, saying: 'Look, this is what I do."

"She told him that she was not interested, but he grabbed her head and forced it onto him. In response, she bit the defendant's penis which prompted him to hit her in the face." Kellet also stated that Brough grabbed the victim by her hair and "dragged" her into the bedroom.

According to the prosecutor, she tried to stop him from raping her, however he punched her which caused her to blackout again. Brough then fled the scene with two stolen Samsung cellphones, bank cards, a Fitbit, alcohol and more.

The victim was taken to the Trauma Assessment Unit at Salford Royal Hospital; she suffered fractures to her upper and lower jaw, facial lacerations and missing teeth. She was then moved to a rape crisis center at St Mary's Hospital, wherein doctors found a sample of Brough's DNA.

Meanwhile, Brough denied the accusations during his Nov. trial. He turned down legal representation and declined to appear in court. Brough was reportedly jailed for 18 years with an extended license period of four years at Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester. He has a previous 15-year history of knife-related violence and was acquitted of rape in 2019. Brough will have to serve a minimum of 12 years and is ordered to remain on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
