Good news for those "How I Met Your Mother" fans that were dissatisfied with the series finale! Creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas have recently revealed via Twitter that there is an alternate ending coming in the season nine box set.
In the tweets by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, both reveal that there were two viable options for the ending of "HIMYM." He revealed that they had a hard time choosing between the two but shot both. Thomas also reveals they stand by their choice to air the ending they chose but loved the other as well. Both creators were mum on telling us what to expect in this alternate ending but we do know it will be availalbe this fall when season nine of "How I Met Your Mother" DVD box set goes on sale.
Both creators also shared a picture of the DVD box set and also mentioned there will be tons of other cool stuff to see. Check out the tweets below from both Thomas and Bays revealing the alternate ending to "HIMYM" season nine finale.
