A close-up video of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the Trooping the Colour went viral last week, showing Prince Harry and Meghan in a seemingly tense exchange while they were standing at the balcony of Kensington Palace with the rest of the royal family. The offended look on Meghan’s face after Prince Harry’s words led to speculations that Prince Harry was telling her off in the viral video, and it may have something to do with Baby Archie.

In the video, Meghan was standing in front of Prince Harry, toward the right-hand side of the balcony and slightly behind Prince Andrew. The footage shows the royal family members talking among themselves while cameras were rolling, until Prince Harry turned away from his wife to speak to someone else.

The tension became more apparent when Meghan suddenly turned around to butt in and speak to her husband while he was in an ongoing conversation with the person on his left. At that point, Meghan’s back was already facing directly toward the media and the crowd outside the Palace. She turned her back to speak to Prince Harry in a matter of seconds, but she only got two brief phrases in response.

According to a lip reading expert, what the Duke of Sussex told Meghan the first time she turned to him in the viral video was “Yes, that’s right.” After getting that response, Meghan returned to her front-on pose and, after just a few more seconds, turned her back to Harry to tell him something again.

The second time she did that, Prince Harry asked her to turn around. However, Meghan did not immediately turn around but continued to face her husband, as if trying to make a point. “Look,” Prince Harry told her again without even looking at her.

At that point, Meghan turned back around to face the media and their well-wishers. The look on her face showed she was deeply offended but tried to hide it with an awkward smile.

Speculations are rife that Meghan was asking Prince Harry if she could leave the ceremony to go back to Baby Archie, who was not there at the Trooping the Colour. However, the look on Harry’s face and the words he allegedly told Meghan clearly showed he did not let his wife have his way.

Meghan’s detractors immediately shared the video on social media, with some even mocking the Duchess of Sussex for what happened. “Her reaction is so funny,” one critic said. “What a great video to watch, when she turns around the second time with an offended look on her face,” another noted.
