Kany García Kicks Off “Soy Yo” World Tour With Sold Out Concerts, Guest Artists

Kany García considered the most influential singer-songwriter of her generation, winner of two Latin Grammy's and two Billboard Latin Music Awards, kicks off her “Soy

Yo Tour” in Colombia with two fully sold concerts. On August 2nd in Pereira, thousands of people witnessed her powerful voice during the great show she offered to the attendees.

Kany García, continues to promote her new album "Contra el Viento" which

was chosen among the Top 50 Records of Billboard Magazine. The album it exceeded expectations, reaching No. 1 in the Latin Pop ranking and No. 3 in the general ranking.

Contigo" Co-written with the producer of the album Marcos Sánchez, and "Las Palabras" written by the virtuoso of rock Argentine Fito Páez. The album also highlights the special collaboration of the Spanish singer-songwriter Joaquín Sabina who offered his talent as an illustrator for the cover design and six drawings included in the album's art.

Each track on the album is identified with a brave woman admired by Kany, including Shela, Kany's mother; the Spanish singer

Rozalén; the missing Argentine protest singer Mercedes Sosa; the urban interpreter Natti Natasha; Natalia Lafourcade; the international superstar Thalia; the folk singer Soledad Pastorutti; actress, singer, and anthropologist Lila Downs; and the award-winning Colombian-American actress Sofía Vergara. In their own way, they all represent the struggle and success of women around the world.

Kany started 2019 on the right foot: sold out on February 2 at the Colosseum in Puerto Rico, where she had great guest artists such as Natti Natasha, Pedro Capó, Residente, and Tommy Torres.
