Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle's Speech Intelligence Analyzed

A royal expert has pointed out one vital error that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been committing since they married into the royal family. According to the expert, this is the reason why they find it hard to win the hearts and minds of their people.

Kate Middleton has been married to Prince William for more than nine years, while Meghan has only been married to Prince Harry for more than a year. As full-time royals, both of them have their own royal duties to perform and when on royal tours, giving speeches is inevitable.

An expert recently analyzed how the two duchesses differ when making speeches and shed light on that one vital error that they commit each time they do this. While Kate and Meghan have obviously grown since joining the royal family, they reportedly continue to rely on their scripts when giving their speeches.

According to royal expert James Bryce, Meghan is a more confident speaker than Kate. She had been exposed to public speaking long before she met Prince Harry so her speech intelligence shines whenever she gives her speeches.

“Meghan, and not the script, is leading the event,” Bryce said. “We can see this from how she speaks firmly but naturally, managing her speech rate well. She communicates in small, natural-sounding chunks of speech, allowing emotions to shine through her pitch,” he added.

Compared with Meghan, Bryce said Kate seems to be more reliant on a script. While she reads sufficiently well, her full speech intelligence is held back because she tends to read more than connect with her audience. According to the expert, she would come across as the full, authentic Kate if she only discarded her script and spoke from the heart.

Bryce noted, however, that while Meghan Markle appears to be more confident than Kate when giving speeches, the Duchess of Sussex sometimes tends to take too much advantage of her level of confidence to please her audience. Explained Bryce, speech intelligence needs both speech agility and authentic self to act in harmony when one communicates. Meghan fails to strike a balance between those two.

As for Kate, Bryce believes that she will be able to interact with her audience better if she ditches her script. Unless she stops relying on her script, she will not be able to provide true connection with her listeners.
