If you have been keeping up with the royals, you must have seen that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince George and Princess Charlotte went to a football match recently.

Just like a regular family, they ditched their VIP box and sat amongst the crowd, cheering for Aston Villa. A royal source told The Sun, it is believed that the Duchess of Cambridge has always wanted the children to live in reality. In fact, Prince William agrees with her and they don't want their children to be confined within the walls of a privileged life. They want them to have similar experiences like other kids. The same parenting ideals Princess Diana had.

It wasn't always easy for Duchess, however. Sources reveal that after Charlotte was born, it became quite challenging for her, despite all the support she received.

“She’s had to master juggling her different roles – a royal, a wife and a mum. But she strikes me as a confident and happy young woman who has got the balance right,” Katie Nicholl, author of "Kate: The Future Queen- Katie Nicholl," said.

Kate gets parenting tips from her own childhood. In fact, both Kate and William have been embracing the ways in which Kate was brought up. Kate once shared how amazing her childhood was. Like any other parent, that’s what she wishes for her children, that and a sense of normalcy.

Her type of parenting can be compared to that of Prince William's mom, Princess Diana.

When Prince William was young, Princess Diana had refused to leave him in care of the nannies. The late princess had taken him along on his first overseas tour to Australia and New Zealand, when he was merely nine months old -- the same age when Prince George joined his parents on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. Just like Princess Diana, Kate believes in being a hands-on parent and caring for them as a normal mommy would do.
