At only 23 years old and with a trajectory that is not even a decade long, Farruko, born Carlos Efren Reyes, is one of the youngest and fresh faces revolutionizing the Latin urban movement. The Puerto Rican singer has become a household name with his hits such as "Passion Whine" and his duet with J.Balvin in "6 A.M." Four studio albums and a Latin GRAMMY nomination later, Farruko is now a six-time finalist at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards with his hit alongside J.Balvin.

"I feel very happy with my nominations and everything that's happening in my career," Farruko told Latin Times at the Billboard Latin Music Conference. "My birthday is this weekend on May 2nd, and with so many great things happening, I can say this is my birthday present." Thrilled with his six nods, the reggaeton artist said that though he'd like to nab all the awards, he feels special with just being nominated. As for any surprise presentations at the 2015 awards show, he said "not this year!" "I'm waiting for a surprise release that I have prepared with Sony Music and I want to keep preparing myself for this year," he said.

Farruko is nominated for Latin Rhythm Albums Artist of the Year, Solo. His single "6 A.M." with J.Balvin is nominated for Hot Latin Song of the Year; Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event; Airplay Song of the Year; Digital Song of the Year and Latin Rhythm Song of the Year. The Billboard Latin Music Awards air April 30th via Telemundo Network.
