Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have “lovingly” went their separate ways, barely a year after their wedding. Many people are speculating that it is because Cyrus is queer and can no longer contain her sexuality that could have lead to the divorce, but could it be her lack of desire to have babies the main reason instead?

One source said so. Cyrus to have hinted recently that she finds the idea of women’s sole purpose to be moms one day as unattractive and disempowering.

On August 10, in a move that shock not just their fans but many who watched Miley Cyrus grew up in their eyes, Cyrus and Hemsworth ended their marriage, which lasted only eight months.

There were many speculations as to why the two broke up. One glaring assumption, however, is that Cyrus could no longer contain her sexuality. This assumption was further fueled by rumors that she is seeing Kaitlynn Carter.

However, there might be more to this. After all, Miley herself has once said that her sexuality is not an issue. In fact, it makes her marriage, “modern,” albeit adding that this makes it hard for people to get it.

According to Radar Online, their source has it that the singer was the one who initiated the divorce. According to the insider, the two can no longer see eye to eye with regard to the future of their relationship, with one being conservative and the other, quite liberal.

Cyrus reportedly wanted an open relationship and could not see herself committed to one person forever while Hemsworth is looking to already start having their own family by having a baby, which the “Hannah Montana” star no longer wants.

In her Elle interview just last month, Miley also said that she finds women being the “reason for life” as both a bane and a blessing. “We’re expected to keep the planet populated. And when that isn’t a part of our plan or our purpose, there is so much judgment and anger that they try to make and change laws to force it upon you—even if you become pregnant in a violent situation,” she shared vehemently.

“If you don’t want children, people feel sorry for you, like you’re a cold, heartless bitch who’s not capable of love,” she added. The magazine also noted that Cyrus hated the word “selfish,” being ascribed to loving oneself. “Why are we trained that love means putting yourself second and those you love first? If you love yourself, then what? You come first,” Cyrus said.

Whether or not the real reason behind the split is her non-desire to have a baby, for now or for good, remains to be uncovered in time. While fans are shocked that the two broke up in such a short span of time, they did it relatively maturely.
