Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 20-series graphics cards were considered a major development over the GTX 10-series line, as it introduced advanced AI features and ray tracing for ultra-immersive lighting. But now all the focus is on the Nidia RTX 3080, with Nvidia’s new Ampere architecture at its core.

So, it is more than expected that rumors and some times facts about its specs and release date are being leaked left, right, and center. But till Nvidia releases some concrete news, we have to survive via rumors, which recently gave a tentative window for…

...the release date of Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080!

As per KittyCorgi on Twitter, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti could launch by the end of 2020. While the account circulating the “news” is pretty new and only has a handful of followers, the information comes with some detailed information on Nvidia’s upcoming Ampere series of graphics cards.

So, as per the tweets, the Ampere series of GPUs will be featuring five different graphics cards that will be equipped with ray tracing capabilities for advanced, lighting effects in games, and will apparently use Samsung’s 10nm process as well. This will allow Nvidia’s next-generation graphics cards to be able to handle ray tracing.

RTX 3080 Ti will be up to 40% faster than its predecessor, the RTX 2080 Ti!

As per the recent leaks, an Nvidia GA102 GPU would power the next-generation Titan and GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. Apparently, this will come with 5376 CUDA cores, and a spike of 16% on the TU102 in the RTX Titan, which also support 12GB of memory and a 384-bit bus interface.

But there is another rumor which says that the GA103 GPU would be powering the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080, with 3840 CUDA cores and 10GB or 20GB of GDDR6 memory. This would prove to be a major increase over RTX 2080’s 3072 CUDA cores and 320-bit bus interface.

There is another rumor that an Ampere Titan card, will be using the full amount of CUDA cores, while a considerably lesser amount will be used by an RTX 3080 Ti.
