Prince William Hopes Harry And Meghan Will Work With Them ‘As A Family’ Again

Prince William hopes to work with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle again. In a resurfaced interview, the Duke of Cambridge admitted that he would love to see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex join forces with him and Kate Middleton like they used to and work as a family again.

Prince Harry and Meghan started to drift away from Prince William and Kate months ago, when they announced that they were splitting courts with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Months later, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex set up their own foundation and left the charity they used to share with Prince William and Kate.

In 2009, Prince William set up the Royal Foundation with Kate. When Prince Harry married Meghan in 2018, they became patrons of the trust too. But while royal followers thought that the British royal family’s “Fab Four” were getting along just fine, Prince Harry and Meghan suddenly started their own charity, the Sussex Royal, and went their own way.

Amid the rumored rift, Prince William said in an interview that he would love to do another project with the Sussexes again. “I think it would be wonderful if we could do another project or another campaign with similar impact as ‘Heads Together’ or you know as a unit, as a family, but I think we’ve got to be careful how and when we target those moments and use them carefully,” he said.

Prince William, however, admitted that it would be tricky for all the four of them to work together again. “I think each of us have got our own ideas and work streams that we would like to build upon,” he said, suggesting that his and his wife’s vision are different from Prince Harry and Meghan’s.

When rumors about the royal rift first surfaced, reports claimed that it was because of Meghan. Before she became a full-time royal, Meghan was already active in humanitarian work and even became a spokesperson for the UN. But rumor has it that the Duchess of Sussex wanted to create a unique brand for herself and Prince Harry as they pursue charitable causes that are different from Prince William and Kate’s, like women empowerment.

In another interview, Prince Harry seemed to have confirmed the rumored rift when he admitted that they faced challenges while they were still working together. “We’re stuck together for the rest of ourlives,” he jokingly said. “Togetherness at its finest,” Meghan added.
