Selena Quintanilla
In the midst of all the sad news, we encourage everyone to listen to this Selena Quintanilla song, holding a very important message about peace. "Dreaming of You" album / Capitol Latin

Selena Quintanilla might have been gone for the past 21 years, but her legacy continues and is stronger than ever. Prior to her passing, the Queen of Tejano left fans with beautiful music that is still heard today on the radio and making the rounds in the music charts. One of her songs, precisely serves as the message of peace that the world needs to hear during tough times.

With acts of terror and unnecessary crime, such as the Paris attacks, the Orlando shooting, and Christina Grimmie's passing after one of her concerts, it is important for everyone to unite and help make the world a better place. That is why we are highlighting one of our favorite Selena jams to get the point across.

In 1990, just five years before her tragic passing, Quintanilla used her voice as an international artist to touch upon world peace. Her song "No Quiero Saber" (I don't want to know), part of her studio album "Ven Conmigo" (Come with me), has an upbeat melody and holds a very special message.

Her powerful lyrics, such as "I don't want to hear about a world war," and "if we love one another, the world will change," can serve as a wake-up call after the worst mass shooting in U.S. history occurred Sunday morning leaving 49 dead and 53 wounded at a local nightclub in Orlando, Fla.

On that note, it breaks our hearts to know that identified victim Mercedez Marisol Flores was a fan of the "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom" singer. According to Orlando Sentinel, the 26-year-old woman, who was a music lover, attended Pulse nightclub with her friend Amanda Alvear. Both died in the shooting.

The first thing Flores shared on her Instagram account was posted 62 weeks ago and it was a snippet of Selena singing "Si Un Vez." "Yyyyyooooo !! I love this part #selenaquintanilla #selena," noted Flores.

"No Quiero Saber" lyrics

No quiero saber de más problemas ya (I don't want to hear about more problems already)
No quiero saber de una guerra mundial (I don't want to hear about a world war)
Has mañana un día digno de esperar (Make tomorrow a day worthy of waiting for)
Si nos queremos tódos el mundo va a cambiar (If we all love one another, the world will change)

Hay un lugar lleno de música y diversión (There's a place full of music and fun)
Por eso sólo invito al jóven de corazón (That's why I only invite those who are young at heart)

Hay mucha armonía (There's lots of harmony)
Siempre alegría (always happiness)
Solo sabemos gozar noche y día (We only know how to enjoy ourselves, day and night)

Ya no estés triste (Don't be sad anymore)
Ven conmigo a cantar (come sing with me)
Tira tus penas al aire (Throw your sorrows to the wind)
Hoy vamos a disfrutar (today we're going to have fun)

Qué linda es la vida (Life is so beautiful)
Vive cada día (live each day)
Sin poner medida (without measuring it)
Vive hasta lo máximo (live it to the fullest)
