The fight between Escanor and Meliodas will continue in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13. While the battle is expected to conclude in the next chapter as well, the ending might be a bit disappointing to fans.

Previously, Meliodas was trapped within Melascula’s Dark Cocoon. To break free, he summoned every last bit of his demonic powers and entered into his Assault Mode.

Unfortunately, using so much demonic power has its adverse effects. Meliodas forgot that he is a member of the Seven Deadly Sins and now believes himself to be the leader of the Ten Commandments.

It was Escanor who volunteered to confront the rampaging Meliodas. Escanor viewed it as an opportunity to prove that he is better than the latter.

Meliodas will initially dominate the fight in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13. This is hardly surprising at all since he will reach combat class 142,000, according to EconoTimes.

But Escanor is actually stalling for time as he prepares to unleash his secret technique. This move requires that the sun reaches its apex at noon when Escanor can transform into “The One.”

This will give him so much power that he is described as invincibility incarnate. With one attack alone, he will severely injure Meliodas and knock him out. This is how their fight will end in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13.

However, being defeated doesn’t mean that Meliodas will be back to his old self. In fact, Merlin is unsure if Meliodas will be “cured” as the dark power seems to continue to erode his consciousness.

Despite both Escanor and Meliodas being injured, Merlin will convince her teammates to continue with their previous plan. Thus, the Seven Deadly Sins will go to Camelot to free it from the influenced of the Ten Commandments. It won’t a problem anymore since the dimension warp was already removed when Melascula was defeated by King and Diane’s combination attack.

“The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 13 might also introduce Arthur Pendragon and Orlondi. The next episode’s release date is January 8, 2020. Stay tuned for more updates.
