Disney owns most of film lovers' beloved entertainment brands and the giant company is proud enough to show them off on Twitter.

“The Simpsons” slammed Disney on Twitter after calling its promotional thread of owned brands as the ‘worst corporate Twitter stunt ever’.

Disney started a Twitter thread on Monday to promote Disney Plus, its upcoming streaming platform for originals and acquired franchises, and showcased the largest entertainments brands that it owns including Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

Each of the brands appeared to be conversing with each other on the microblogging thread.

“It’s moving day! Is everyone packed and ready to go to @DisneyPlus?” Disney’s official account @Disney tweeted.

With an animated clip of Aladdin’s genie Jinn on the tweet, the hilarious thread started.

Pixar (@Pixar) interrupted in a tweet: “Almost! But in a shocking turn of events, we can't find Dory.”

The tweet refers to Pixar’s “Finding Dory” film released in 2016, a sequel to the popular “Finding Nemo” in 2003.

“Maybe we can help! Have you tried looking in shallow, tropical reefs of the Indo-Pacific? That’s where you’ll find paracanthurus hepatus. Just don’t get confused with acanthurus leucosternon or acanthurus coeruleus – they all are known as blue tangs! ” said the National Geographic Channel account, @NatGeo.

Disney acquired the National Geographic Channel after making a 52-billion-dollar purchase of 21st Century Fox in March.

“Hang tight. We have quite a few suits here,” wrote @Marvel, Marvel Entertainment, with a photo that shows off Iron Man suits.

“And we’ve got Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, on your left! ” wrote the @Avengers.

“Looks like you’re in need of some transport, you scruffy-looking nerf herders. Welcome aboard the Millennium Falcon, @Marvel ! Any more crew expected?” said Star Wars, @starwars.

Disney bought the company behind “Star Wars”, Lucasfilm, from George Lucas in 2012 for four billion dollars. It had already earned back the purchasing expense back in 2017 but Disney is still creating more “Star Wars” films and limited series for its new streaming platform.

“I am Groot,” Twitter account @Guardians wrote its iconic one-liner from the film "Guardians of the Galaxy".

To cap off its promotional stunt, Disney Plus ended the tweet series by praising itself in its ‘most ambitious crossover event’ online.

However, “The Simpsons” Twitter account handler was not impressed and slammed Disney Plus with this tweet.

While it seemed as if “The Simpsons” had the last word, fans should not forget that even the animated comedy brand is still under the Disney house!

Disney also acquired “The Simpsons” brand through the merger with Fox early this year.

The Disney Plus streaming platform is set to launch on November 12.
