We have all grown up with Disney classics. In fact, even as adults, we don't mind indulging in these movies. However, according to DailyMail, a student recently criticized several Disney classics for their "horrendously outdated and offensive" content. Lauren Robertson says that as she was older and watched the movies again, she realized the flaws in them and slammed them for "portraying racist and exaggerated stereotypes."

She even said that King Louie from Jungle Book is a racist, and most of the characters are still the same. The content is not being updated.

Lauren, who is a student at Aberdeen University and studies languages said, "You probably didn't realize when you watched it age five with all your animal teddies lined up in front of the TV, but there is a hell of a lot of criticism about him (King Louie from Jungle Book) being a racist caricature."

She continues, "He and the other monkeys are shown to be foolish and criminal, and they literally sing about wanting to be able to make the white man's fire."

Even Dumbo, which was recently remade by Disney, made it to Lauren's list. She says that the term "Jim Crow" is used to taunt black men, and this in itself tells you how the movie will unfold. The young student also talks about the problematic lyrics in several Disney songs.

Talking about Aladdin, she explains that most of everything in the original version was a huge problem. She even believes that Disney remade the film just to cover the goofs in the original version.

She says, "Right smack bang in the middle of the opening song, Agrabah (Arab-land) is described to be 'barbaric, but hey, it's home."

She further adds, "Aladdin is a white fantasy with mispronounced Arabic words and has nonsense scribbles as writing. They also have American accents?"

She even spoke about Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid for being anti-feminist. According to her, most of the old Disney classics had massive flaws in them. The political and cultural representation that was shown was also wholly inappropriate.
