After Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran’s recently celebrated collaboration on the song “I Don’t Care,” news have been circulating like crazy that female popsters — and best friends — Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are teaming up for a big collaboration of their own.

The collab rumors between the two ladies began after Swift’s interview and cover shoot for Entertainment Weekly, where she donned a denim jacket riddled with a number of badges — one of which was a picture of Gomez.

“I wanted to rep as many things/people I love on the jacket,” Swift wrote on her Instagram post featuring the cover shot. Immediately after this massive hint, fans were quick to analyze and excitedly speculate that a collab between the besties is in the works.

One fan even confidently prophesied the collaboration and said on Twitter: “MARK MY WORDS. We are getting a TAYLOR AND SELENA COLLAB. It’s gonna be inspired on FRIENDS BC THE PINS AND ITS SELENAS FAV SHOW EVER.”

In her interview with EW, Swift talked about her upcoming album, and the magazine even sent the fans into frenzy when it suggested that the “Me!” singer’s jacket is filled with “Easter eggs.”

While Gomez is not the only one featured in Swift’s clothing, which also included pins and badges that promoted “Game Of Thrones,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, the cast of “Friends”  and her beloved cats Olivia and Meredith, Swifties are adamant that the collaboration will be with Gomez as another photo of Swift surfaced wherein she was wearing a shirt with Gomez's name written near her collarbone.

A fan tweeted the similarity: “‘easter eggs can be left on clothing..’.– Taylor Swift. GUYS THIS IS A HINT!!! AND SELENA‘S NAME IS IN THE SAME SPOT!!!WE‘RE GETTING A TAYLENA COLLAB!!!. MARK MY WORDS!!!!!#TS7.”

Known for her penchant for hint dropping, the 29-year-old happy-go-lucky songstress discussed with the magazine “the art of placing hints inside her work.” Seemed like her fans are well-trained sleuths when it comes to analyzing all of Swift’s cryptic clues.

“I’ve trained them to be that way,” she told EW. “I love that they like the cryptic hint-dropping. Because as long as they like it, I’ll keep doing it. It’s fun. It feels mischievous and playful.” Meanwhile, Capital FM reported that Swift revealed that more clues about her album and tour are hidden in her “Me!” music video.

If it’s true that Swift and Gomez are up for a major collaboration, it would come as no surprise as they are best pals (13 years of friendship!).
