In an article titled “Ange: ‘Hollywood Hates Me,” NW hinted that the actress is not exactly having the time of her life at the moment considering the aftermath of her divorce from Pitt and the performance of her latest film at the Box Office.

NW claimed that Jolie “came out second best” in her divorce from Pitt. The publication reported that her “campaign to bury” her ex-husband seems to have backfired and left her with a damaged reputation.

Another cause of Jolie’s woes, according to the tabloid, is the performance of her recently released film “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.” NW described the movie’s opening sales of $36.9 million as “paltry,” which left her wondering if she is still the bankable actress she once was.

“The film has been a spectacular flop,” NW quoted an unnamed source. “She’s left wondering if Hollywood still considers her bankable — especially since Brad had such an incredible showing with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. It’s left Angie a basket case!”

However, Gossip Cop disagreed with NW’s premise that Jolie fears being disliked by anyone. The actress once explicitly stated that she does not really expect everyone to like her.

“I never expect to be the one that everybody understands or likes,” Jolie told The New York Times in 2017. “And that’s O.K., because I know who I am, and the kids know who I am.”

In addition, calling “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” a spectacular flop is not exactly an accurate way of describing the film’s performance. The movie grossed a massive $430 million worldwide in less than a month and has been in the Box Office’s top spot for two weekends.
