In last week's episode "Parasomnia" Deaton warned Scott that someone may be trying to change the rules in their supernatural world. Stiles believes the new wolf Theo is up to no good and investigates him to find out his true intentions. Meanwhile, Lydia and Parrish try to help a girl named Tracy, who has been experiencing strange hallucinations. Tracy later winds up in the lairs of the Doctors, who inject her with a serum that turns her into a werewolf.
The TV Guide synopsis for "Dreamcatchers" reads: "Scott tracks a new shapeshifter that's threatening Stilinski; and Malia receives information about her mother."
