Come on, admit it: no matter how old we get or how mature we've grown, we all become boys once again at the very sight of the Batmobile.
When the latest Batman franchise by Christopher Nolan first introduced the all new Tumbler Batmobile, the angular shapes and surfaces of the Tumbler made it clear that the new hero car would make the perfect Lego set. Apparently, quite a number of people shared the thought as eventually, Lego released its special edition Tumbler build set... for $650.
Even as far as irrational purchases are concerned, few of us would ever allow ourselves to indulge in such a grand "investment" for what's little more than a collectable toy. Lego blocks should be admired for its ability to encourage us to think creatively and for its simple lack of cheap and superfluous flair.
Enter _Tiler, a Lego enthusiast that has managed to create a minimalistic interpretation of the Batmobile by capturing the essence of the hero vehicles using only the least amount of bricks possible. Miniature in size, _Tiler even created a number of Tumblers with desert camo panels to stunning effect.
Check out the gallery of sweet Lego Tumblers below featuring sweet bonus pictures of the Batplane and the classic Batmobiles from the Tim Burton and Batman Animated Series as well. Also, be sure to visit _Tiler's flickr account to learn more about his other Lego projects.
Happy hump day, everybody!
