Meghan Markle took a trip to New York in September this year to watch her friend Serena Williams play in the US Open Finals. If you remember, it was an exciting match, indeed! And, it was great seeing Meghan support her friend. However, according to Express, the Duchess of Sussex didn’t fly solo as many originally believed. Her pal, Serena Williams, says that baby Archie was also with her on the trip.

While speaking to Access Hollywood, Williams said, “She (Meghan) flew all the way with a newborn to see me play in New York and flew all the way back that night, and I probably couldn’t have done that.”

So, why was this a big royal secret? We all know that Meghan is proud of her rich American heritage and probably wanted Archie to meet her people back home. But, it is believed that there is also another reason why this news was kept under wraps.

According to Richard Fitzwilliams, the royal commentator, the main reason why Meghan kept Archie’s travel a secret was because she wanted privacy, especially since it was a brief visit.

And we can all understand that. After all, people across the globe were immensely interested to know more about the newest member of the royal clan. So, being out in the public eye during such a short stay would not have been feasible.

When Archie Harrison made his public debut during the tour of South Africa, royal fans were ecstatic. People became more and more curious about the little one and couldn’t get enough of him. In the month of September, Prince Harry and Meghan took Archie to meet the civil rights stalwart, Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

And, during the coffee morning with military families, Meghan told us a little more about the newest royal. In fact, in a video posted on the official SussexRoyal account on Instagram, we see Meghan mingle with a little girl. The video also shows Meghan saying, “Archie just got two teeth (and she points at her own front teeth) tiny one’s just there.”
