Ray Donovan will work and try to become a totally different kind of guy in “Ray Donovan” Season 7. The first teaser trailer for the upcoming season reveals that Jon Voight’s fugitive alter ego will be back behind bars, Daryl will have a new love interest and Terry will embark on an unconventional healing opportunity when the Showtime series returns.

The first teaser trailer comes after the network provided a recap of the bloody finale of the previous season, where Mickey Donovan was on the run. As the series returns later this year, viewers will find the titular character sending Mickey Donovan directly back to jail.

With Sam Winslow now gone, Ray Donovan is setting out to figure out whatever he wants his future to be like. By the end of Season 6, he was already out of Los Angeles and was no longer working for Sam.

In the upcoming season, fans will see if he will choose to be a good person and father and will navigate his future in a way that he has never done before or if he will go back to his old ways. The teaser trailer also reveals that Season 7 will find the titular fixer struggling to make progress with his shrink while dealing with Mayor Feratti, whose corruption brings a piece of Mickey Donovan’s past back to New York City.

It remains to be seen how those events will play out in the next season. But there will certainly be lots of chaos and head-turning twists, as well as moments of introspection as Ray Donovan tries to figure out what he wants his legacy to be.

“Ray Donovan” Season 7 will feature a new set of characters. These include “13 Reasons Why” actor Josh Hamilton, “Better Call Saul” actor Kerry Condon and “The Girlfriend Experience” actress Louise Krause.

Hamilton will play billionaire mogul Kevin Sullivan, while Condon will play his sister, Molly Sullivan, manager of the Sullivan family’s high-profile businesses. Krause, meanwhile, will play the alluring healer Liberty, who will offer Terry a unique alternative medicine opportunity.

“Ray Donovan” Season 7 is set to premiere on Sunday, Nov. 17, on Showtime.
