The Xbox One Media Remote has been officially unveiled by Microsoft’s Major Nelson’s blog. The media remote is said to launch early March for only $25. The small media remote looks just like the leaked picture recently seen on a Amazon Canada listing. Major Nelson’s blog highlights some of the Xbox One Media Remotes features.

According to the blog the Xbox One Media Remotes lets a user control video playback for Blu-ray movies and streaming videos on the console. Additionally, there are dedicated Back and OneGuide buttons. The OneGuide button provides one-touch, quick access to your favorite TV shows and movies through the Xbox One program guide. The remote can also control TV/Receiver power and volume through Kinect, which uses IR blasting to send signals to your TV or receiver.

The Media Remote is designed to help users listen, watch and switch among experiences on the Xbox One console instantly. Major Nelson showed off a bonus feature via a Vine video. In the video, Major Nelson not only shows off the design of the Media Remote but also showcases the glow in the dark buttons for those that relax in the dark but need to see the remote.
