Ana Winocur has died. The former TV Azteca news anchor has been confirmed to have passed away according to fellow journalist Lilly Tellez. "May you rest in peace Ana Winocur, former Azteca host. May God have you in his glory," she wrote. ADN40 presenter Hannia Novell also echoed her words and wrote: "Our condolences to the friends and family of our former colleague Ana Winocur. May God guide and accompany her."

At this moment there's no word on what caused the sudden death to the young professional. Ana Winocur hosted several news shows during her tenure at the Azteca network. She was paired up with Jorge Zarza in an afternoon news block and later on a morning show.

Entertainment gossip show "Ventaneando" confirmed the news with a tweet that read: "Ana Winocur passed away today, our condolences to her family." The message was accompanied by a photo of the presenter with the words "rest in peace" at the bottom along with the current year. Daniel Bisogno also took to Twitter to voice his sentiments: "Surprised with the death of my journalist friend Ana Winocur."

Former colleague Carolina Rocha also expressed her feelings on social media writing: "I am surprised and saddened to find out Ana Winocur died. She was my colleague at TV Azteca. A passionate and giving woman."
