“Vampire Diaries” is back and this season is going to be bloody good. Season 5 kicks off with episode 1, “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” And the aptly named premiere will catch us up on all the happenings from the long summer months. While we will certainly learn what everyone has been up to, we also learn were the Mystic Falls crew is headed next. And things sure are changing for the supernatural town.

In tonight’s episode Elena and Caroline will head off to Whitmore College for their freshman, but things set off to a rocky start when Bonnie is a no-show and the pair gets a mysterious third roommate named Megan. The girls who still don’t know about Bonnie’s death, text her and tell her to hurry up and get to Whitmore, because “they need her.” But Bonnie is holding her death back from her friends and her family, except Jeremy. Jeremy is the only person in Mystic Falls that knows about Bonnie’s death. But for Elena, Bonnie’s absence at Whitmore is not the only thing troubling her.

Elena and Damon have enjoyed a “passionate relationship” this summer, Delena are living together in the Salvatore mansion and have pretty much wasted the summer away by having lots of steamy sex…seriously. The two are closer than ever, but all that will change when Elena goes away to college. And as Elena moves into her new dorm room, Katherine seems to immediately take her place right by Damon’s side. Now that she is human, Katherine claims to need Damon, but will Damon end up needing more of Katherine now that Elena is gone?
As for the missing piece of this love puzzle, Stefan is acting a little strange. Well, duh, probably because Stefan is at the bottom of the lake and Silas has slipped seamlessly into his Mystic Falls way of life. Will Stefan be saved, or will Silas continue the rouse for the whole year? Luckily for Stefan’s sake it seems like Silas is set to make a “terrifying appearance” at the Mystic Falls “End of Summer” party.

Never a dull moment for these teenage vampires! “The Vampire Diaries” season 5 premiere airs tonight, Oct.3 on the CW at 8 p.m. Be sure to watch live or tune in online at CWTV.com! Now that everyone’s favorite love-triangle is back on TV, we want to hear from TVD fans and know are you Team Stefan or Team Damon?!
