"Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" trailer coming April 20. Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

The "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" film may not be coming to theaters until next year but fans will soon be able to check out a brand new trailer for the superhero movie. Director Zack Snyder confirmed that the IMAX trailer event will occur April 20 by teasing the footage via Twitter late Wednesday. Snyder wrote, "Confirmed 4.20.15 #BatmanvSuperman @IMAX special teaser screening events. Limited space. RSVP http://www.batmanvsupermandawnofjustice.com/imax/ ," with the accompanied teaser video.

The event will reportedly last 15 minutes, adding to speculation that the presentation will include extra scenes from the movie. It is also said to feature an intro from Snyder. The screening will take place at 7 p.m. at select IMAX theaters. If you want to RSVP do it here. It is unknown if the trailer will debut online simultaneously as to avoid bootlegging but we won't know for sure until Monday rolls around.

"Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will arrive in theaters on March 25, 2016. The movie will star Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman. Until then check out these other eight exciting details about the coming superhero flick.

1. "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" will also star Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent).

2. The superhero movie will also introduce Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman. Gadot and Momoa will also star in two standalone films, as well as in two planned Justice League films.

3. Ray Fisher will play Vic Stone, who is also known as Justice League member, Cyborg. He's also scheduled to get a solo movie in 2020.

4. Recently, the film has added three supporting castmembers in unidentified (but not comic book based) roles. Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto have joined the cast in roles created specifically for the film.

5. Scoot McNairy has an unspecified role, too. Speculation on his part has ranged from Morgan Edge to Jimmy Olsen to Hal Jordan

6. The story draws some inspiration from "The Dark Knight Returns," which climaxed with an impressive street fight between Batman and Superman. While there are likely going to be some similarities, Goyer has stated that the film won't be an adaptation of that work.

It looks increasingly likely that some of their conflict may stem from the controversial ending to Man of Steel, as Mr. Goyer promised, "we will be dealing with this in coming films...He isn't fully-formed as Superman in [Man of Steel], and he will have to deal with the repercussions of that in the next one."

7. The fandom are speculating that Braniac is a potential villain that will be the reason behind Batman and Superman's battle. If this is the case and the villain is revealed then it will lead us into the DCU film "Justice League."

8. Badass Digest reports that we are going to see minor bad guy the KGBeast as an agent of Luthor's, although probably without a costume or a code name.
