Becky G Debut Album: Singer Reveals How She'll Stay True To Latin Roots In New Production

Becky G will soon unleash her debut studio album and her beloved Beasters are patiently waiting as they jam to the album's singles such as "Shower," "Can't Stop Dancin" and "Lovin' So Hard." The songstress, who is currently on tour with J Balvin, has revealed some juicy details regarding her upcoming production.

"Sonically the way it sounds is more pop-leaning, but it has that urban element. There's a Latin side to some of those tracks as well. As far as the writing goes, there are more bangers in there, but club-y type songs that make you want to dance. That's me as a person. I'm always super happy, so there's going to be lots of energy. There are also some songs that are a little bit more heartfelt," she told Marie Claire, emphasizing that there will be a lot of storytelling.

Truth be told, we're rooting for collaborations with J Balvin, Maluma or Thalia on this album. Unless you forgot, Becky G ---born Rebbeca Marie Gomez--- has performed with these stars in the past. However, the 19-year-old star from Inglewood, Calif. reassures that her Latina roots will be showcased in her forthcoming production.

"Showing off my Latin roots is natural because growing up it was part of my everyday life—in the music that we listened to at home, the food that we cooked, the novelas that I watched with my mom and grandma. So when it comes to my music, it's natural and genuine," she told the lifestyle magazine.
