DEL Records, the most prominent Indie Mexican music label, and Combate Americas, the first-ever U.S. Hispanic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) sports franchise, today are thrilled to announce their partnership and the participation of popular recording artists Regulo Caro and King Lil G during the kick-off event for the all-new, weekly fight series, on Monday, April 18 at Exchange LA, live on NBC Universo and UFC Fight Pass.

The launch of the weekly series marks the return of the action-packed “Road To the Championship”fight series to NBC Universo, the modern entertainment and sports cable channel for Latinos, with a weekly, one-hour program, beginning Monday, April 18, at 12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT. from Los Angeles, California.

Headlining the first live event in the series will be a featherweight (145 pounds) contest between Erick Sanchez (6-2), Urijah Faber protégé and Team Alpha Male member, and aggressive-minded finisher Mike Segura (4-2). In the flyweight (125 pounds) co-main event, Jonathan Martinez (7-1) will take on Jesse "The Puerto Rican Game Cock" Cruz (8-5).

In addition, performances from acclaimed Latin hip-hop artist King Lil G and Regional Mexican music sensation Regulo Caro are expected during the night.

International singer/songwriter Regulo Caro has become one of the leaders of regional Mexican music with a major following of fans in the U.S., Mexico and beyond. The Latin Grammy-nominated entertainer is the voice of a new generation of music lovers. He has garnered numerous accolades including a BMI award, a gold record, a star in the Las Vegas walk of fame, among others. His albums and singles have Top the Billboard sales and radio charts. His most recent hit single “Cicatriiices” is currently Top 20.

The L.A. born and raised King Lil G has sold out shows at El Rey Theatre, while his “Hopeless Boy” hit single is now nearing 10 million views via YouTube. His numerous collaborations with the likes of Kurupt, Berner and others have also earned him much attention over the years.
