Children's Day (or International Day for Protection of Children) is observed in many countries in June on different dates, while the United Nations has assigned Universal Children's Day on November 20, in celebration of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1959. But in Mexico, “Día del Niño” is observed every April 30. The holiday was established right before Alvaro Obregón ended his presidency in 1924 and has been celebrated ever since.

Normally on this day, children have a fun day at school with special events, food and activities like parades, face painting, storytelling, school plays and games. Here are some inspiring quotes to remind us that every day is a good day to celebrate the little ones in our lives:
