Evelyn Lozada got engaged to Carl Crawford! Instagram/ Evelyn Lozada

Well, someone had a great Christmas! “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada got the most amazing gift ever. Yesterday morning, as Lozada and her boyfriend Carl Crawford were getting ready to open the presents, the L.A. Dodgers outfielder got down on one knee and popped the question with a 14.5 carat diamond ring that features a 10-carat emerald cut center stone. The massive rock was designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, the same jeweler who designed Gabrielle Union’s ring, and it is valued at $1.4 million, according to the jeweler’s rep.

Lozada was previously engaged to NBA player Antoine Walker during a 10 year relationship, and for that reason she landed her role in the VH1 reality show “Basketball Wives.” After her engagement was broken up, she was linked to NFL player Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, and although they did get married in 2012, it only lasted for two months, after they infamously entered into prolonged court proceedings following a domestic-violence dispute. After that high-profile divorce, Evelyn kept things on the down low, and back in November she announced she was pregnant, but wouldn’t reveal the name of her second child’s father.

It was earlier this month that she finally disclosed the name of her mystery man, and revealed that it was Carl Crawford and that they began dating earlier this year. What she wasn’t expecting at all was a proposal, according to her rep, who added that “it took Evelyn by surprise.” However, after she got the giant ring, she couldn’t contain her excitement and took it to Instagram posting a picture of the jewel along with the caption “YES!” She later uploaded another photo of the ring and wrote: “Thank u so much @jasonofbh for this BEAUTIFUL DESIGN!!!! #HappiestGirlInTheWorld.”

It’s good to know that this story is getting a happy ending and that Evelyn will finally bury all the past drama once and for all and start a new life with her new man. Now, scroll down to see the gigantic bling and give us your thoughts on it. Do you like it? Or do you feel like it’s too much?
