Former Miss Universe Alicia Machado has spoken regarding Donald Trump's racist remarks about undocumented immigrants during his presidential kickoff speech.

In a statement released on social media by her publicist, Machado, 38, revealed that she's currently not making any comments or talking to the press about this manner out of respect for her current job with Mexican network Televisa. However, it's important to note that for many years now, the beauty queen has been open about her discontent and disapproval of Mr. Trump's comments.

Machado, who was crowned Miss Universe at 19 years old in 1996, becoming the fourth Venezuelan to win the title, also announced that following her participation in the Televisa novela, she will reveal full details of an upcoming book. Telemundo reports it will be called "Donald Trump y Yo" (Donald Trump and I).

The forthcoming publication will include details about the abuse of power and racism she suffered as a minor from Mr. Trump. The statement also says that the model, actress and singer will unveil who Trump really is.
