This fifth chapter of the sixth season furthers the saga of the show with Tyrion seeking a strange ally, Bran learning a great deal and coming face to face with the white walkers, Brienne going on a mission, and Arya getting a chance to prove herself. Episode 4 of "Game Of Thrones" was titled Book Of The Stranger." Sansa, Brienne and Podrick arrived at Castle Black as the former was reunited with Jon Snow. At Winterfell, Osha attempted to assassinate Ramsay, but is killed herself in the process. Ramsay sent a letter to Jon, threatening harm to Rickon if Sansa is not returned. Jon and Sansa resolved to march south and take back Winterfell. In Meereen, Tyrion met with the slave masters of Slaver's Bay to offer peace if they ended slavery within seven years, an action that angered Missandei and Grey Worm.

Littlefinger returned to the Vale to mobilize their soldiers against Ramsay Bolton. In King's Landing, Margarey was permitted to visit Loras while Cersei, Jaime, Kevan and Lady Olenna planned to stop the High Sparrow. Theon arrived at Pyke and explained to Yara that he would support her claim at the Kingsmoot. Daario and Jorah arrived at Vaes Dothrak, with the former learning about the latter's greyscale. Daenerys met with the Khals and set the temple of the Dosh Khaleen on fire. When she emerged unhurt, the Dothraki bowed to her.
